Each incorrect guess will cause the satellite image to be zoomed out further. You will be shown the direction and distance of the correct city from your guess.

👋 Goodbye, Google Maps

Google Maps has made for an unmatched experience for Satle players, but unfortunately it has become too expensive to use for this site. For now, Satle will be transitioning to use Mapbox instead. I hope you will enjoy the new Satle just as much.

Google Maps has been costing on average $50CAD per month at the current traffic level. Under the new pricing model it will instead cost over $200CAD/mo. I would love to put a banner ad on this site to try to offset some costs, but I can't find any ad service that will work for this type of site. For now using Mapbox should be affordable enough for me to keep Satle running. Please condisder making a donation on my Ko-fi page to help support the site.
